I am going to choose to pretend you are naive enough to actually believe any of this. I'll ignore the obvious fact that what FPH banned is in fact what the admins said, if it was something else we would see a whole host of other atrocious subs banned stormfront ones for example.

Okay so moving along you think FPH helped people? Sure you may have some anecdotes, and hey maybe one in ten of them is real and not another FPHer pretending that FPH miraculously helped them. (Anonymous people on the internet can lie with out any repercussions, and FPHers have a reason to justify their own fucked up beliefs).

So if your goal is to change behavior here is a quick low down on the contingencies of reinforcement. From most effective to least:
Positive reward (introduction of positive stimulus for desired behavior)
Negative reward (removal of noxious stimulus)
Neutrality (no stimulus is introduced no stimulus is removed as a response to specific behavior)
Negative Punishment (removal of desired ) Positive Punishment (introduction of noxious stimulus for undesired behavior)

FPH was all about positive punishment, the least effective form of reinforcement. You know why it is ineffective? Because the person is going to figure out what they have to do to avoid the punishment, not actually change their behavior if it rewards them otherwise.

You want people to exercise? When you see them trying cheer them on. When you see them not? Do nothing.

Don't believe me google punishment vs reward, contingencies of reinforcement, effects of punishment. The data will stack up against you with decades of research to back it up.

Of course all of this is a waste of time. You're still in high school, and likely not very socially smart so most of this will go way over your head. But maybe in 5 years when you have started college for the second time, you'll look back and think about it feel embarrassed about how shitty you have been and realized you didn't know any better but you do now.
