It is safe to assume we will be seeing Twitter accept Bitcoin payments for account verification very soon. Thoughts?

A few days ago I checked and there was no more scam comments on the posts by Elon Musk.

Maybe the scammers wanted to wait a bit or twitter found a better solution already? I mean it was ridiculous. For months all his top comments were by scam accounts, same for other twitter users.Like usually this "send your bitcoin and we double it" stuff.

I am confident Elon Musk will implent Bitcoin and help bring Bitcoin forward because many in his network are pro bitcoin also.

However using Bitcoin as a means to verify an account just means its easy for "hi roll" scammers to use this in automated ways. They could do this with (stolen) credit cards also. And as they make thousands or even millions in a huge scam campaign it does not even matter if they would verify/checkmark 100 accounts for $8 each. So in this case Bitcoin would make it easier for them.

So to combat spam the best option probably still is to verify peoples identity. Of course in the future this could change, like your Bitcoin address may be your verification and offer trust. But I am not sure how this could work from just a bitcoin payment. Its anonymous. So its the opposite of fighting spam/scams.
