While I do agree with the general state of MTX, the issue isn't MTX, the issue is EoC.

Because EoC, RS3 is a cheap WoW clone. It doesn't draw in more users, because with actionbar-based combat, it competes direclty with WoW.

Do you know what people are going to choose from when they compare RS3 with WoW? I can quarantee you, 19 out of 20 times they are going to pick up WoW(not even exagerrating).

While I agree MTX is bad it's ONLY because it drives away new players. It doesn't exactly harm anyone in game, if someone decides to buy stuff with his IRL money it's his own thing, doesn't affect any other users, which is why the argument you presented is illogical. Most of us quit because of EoC. Im willing to bet that if MTX came to OSRS, only a very small fraction of players would quit, as RWT has and will continue to be part of OSRS even unofficially, and only very small % of people care about highscores.

"Integrity" doesn't really matter, it's a role-playing game where each of us works towards their own goals, and someone else accomplishing their goals through MTX does not affect you in any way. You can still do what you always did by continuing to progress that account.

Difference is that in RS3 the majority of that money is going to developers instead of some 3rd party RWT'r, which you are now unjustly blaming.

Now, it's of course true that RS3 is dying but that's because the game sucks and not because of RWT. I can quarantee you if the game was simply the best game on the market people wouldn't give a diddly squat about MTX, they would still play the game regardless.
