Why do our friends not care about VR?

Using the PSVR2 as an example—it’s okay. The center is focused, but to call it sharp… eh, if you want you can. It’s about what you’d except from the center of a cheap acrylic lens. It’s still not what I’d call great. Side by side with a Quest Pro it becomes easier to distinguish. And if you’ve ever used an industrial VR headset for even 5 minutes your perception about what is sharp and what isn’t changes immediately.

I think what these threads really show is that VR enthusiasts are less bothered unfocused or generally soft focused images, but then become super defensive about it when “normies” try VR for the first time and say, “Why is it so blurry?”
