You’re probably ovulating. I’m also 17f, and I find that about a week after my period stops, I start ovulating and it lasts a little less than a whole week. My discharge will be thicker, much more present, more yellow, and will smell different and stronger than what I’m used to.

Also, I wanted to say that I think the whole subject on washing ourselves down there is a gray area, and although this is TMI I thought I’d mention. So if you do not wash yourself down there (although I seriously suggest doing so) you will start to smell. I’ve tried both cleaning there and not cleaning there since opinions on it are so mixed and I noticed my discharge smelled much different and much worse after only a week of following peoples advice to never wash it. So if you don’t wash it, that could be it.
