Even though it seems Falun Gong is getting political they aren't doing anything wrong. Firstly, it's 2015, people should be allowed to believe in and read a book and do exercises without fear of persecution, in any country anywhere. What you see on Falun Gong banners and pictures of the group everywhere are banners displaying the characters for Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance. Isn't that a good message, it's not like they are spreading hate like some religions.

Also, it's only natural that a group of people violently persecuted by an oppressor... it's only natural that a group has some kind of response against their oppressor. Falun Gong has done an excellent, non-violent world-wide coordinated appeal for people to stop supporting the CCP because of it's involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong. The CCP has been implicated with massive evidence in participating in torture, forced labor, brainwashing, and even forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Can you even blame Falun Gong for "getting political"?? Would a better response have been to just take it all laying down and let the CCP "squash Falun Gong" ? Really all that followers of Falun Gong want is to be left alone so that they can continue their practice in peace, which is studying a book and doing qi gong exercises...

Also one more thought, how is Shen Yun a "fake dance outfit" ? Surely the show does contain messages about Falun Gong and many will again see it as political, but regardless the show has indeed great dancing and music, I've seen the show in Houston.

The dancing, music, and singing was all in and of itself of a very high level and was very entertaining. Shen Yun performs around the globe also to high review from critics in many regions. So certainly Shen Yun doesn't only perform to "unsuspecting white people."
