There are hundreds of thousands of minimum wage workers in Australia, who also occupy the bulk of victims of wage theft, casualisation and other dodgy industry practices.

Skilled jobs pay well. But skilled jobs are also highly competitive jobs. For everyone who can't get a fucking skilled job they wind up in unskilled. Which pays like shit on a bootheel. And that's IF you can even find work.
