Why are vocals mixed so much louder nowadays?

Yeah, i can see why you dont sell a million records..

Its also why i dont sell a million records. I have gotten advice from a dj with billions of streams. That i should just copy top40 and change maybe 10% of the song to something original.

Anything else is just a waste of time and effort. (as in, there is only one kurt cobain, elvis, exc per generation. (each 10 years))

That is if you want to have a guaranteed income. (he has never had less than median income average salary.*)

It doesnt matter what the old guard thinks. They dont buy new records. The kids do. Doesnt matter if snoop dogg thinks mumble rup is stupid. He doesnt sell anymore. (he´s now a cameo celebrity. if that.)

Which is why people tell you . "you dont sell million records."

*Cause, humm humm. Even artists selling billions of streams and doing shows. Still have to pay 99% of their income to their corporations of mostly hired freelance workers.

Aside from often owing the label millions. :)
