Has anyone had this experience?

Even being a late 20’s Marine and unmarried at an independent duty station feels kind of depressing. But I looked at it as an opportunity to just go all out because I was making more money (BAH and no Comrat deductions) Your position is unique because you are definitely making more money than your peers and gaining legit work experience. I would just focus on stacking those chips and attend night classes or something. Maybe find some roommates who are in college and doing some ROTC program so you can get a taste of the party life (you don’t want normal college roommates because they won’t understand your lifestyle, also drugs). Anyway, when you finish and decide to get out or stay in you’ll be in a much better position than other in your age group.
