01 Buick Century - top end rebuild on the rear bank of cylinders. V6, I forget what size engine. Tips, tricks, and advice welcome. Maybe a ~brief list of steps involved?

There are tons of YouTube videos including complete start-to-finish of replacing the lower intake manifold gasket that requires pulling the entire top half of the engine. I would definitely just checked them out a lot of the comments are filled with Pro tips from mechanics. I did it on my 05. Make sure you get a high quality gasket set I believe the good ones are metal. Also take a box because the pushrods for the valves have to be put back in the exact way that come out as they are different lengths and stab the push rods in the Box in the same order they're in the engine. Label everything. If I were you I would video tape everything so you can go back and watch how you did it when you put it back together. I would replace all of your coolant hoses and all of your vacuum lines and make sure to swap out does back 3 spark plugs. While you're at it you might as well change out all the coils. You do not have to remove the injectors from the fuel rail. Make sure you clean up that plenum real good real good and replace the EGR valve while you're in there.
